Birth Story:
On Father’s Day, June 20th, we went to my parent’s house for dinner. My mom’s mom and her sisters were there, and we were having a cookout. I felt odd; but I wrote it off as an overactive imagination, because I knew that the next day I had an appointment to decide whether or not we should induce labour, and I was so hoping to go into labour on my own. I ate strawberry shortcake as an appetizer, joking that ‘when you are in your fourth trimester, you shouldn’t put anything off’ and 20 minutes later my water broke all over my mom’s front porch... continued.
Tiny baby:
Then we were three. Even though Nick was enormous for a newborn, he was tiny compared to the little boy who is currently running around my house. So, what's it like to live with the zero to one set? I didn't spend a lot of time writing it all down, but

By the time Nick was one, I finally got my act together. You can find almost all of Squishy One archived, with the exception of the flashback section and some video footage, which will be periodically trimmed to make room for new, two year old movies.
Two? Really?
By age two I gave up on clever names and just titled the site "Nicholas Erik." Here's the archives for Two Year Old Nick.
